Pickles, pebbles and frog songs

This work is the beginning of a project for my little daughter, inspired by memories of catching frogs in a river, feeding fish with pasta, pickling cucumbers with my grandmother, playing with friends and trying to lure the gnomes with chocolate cookies. I remember wet feet, scraped knees, the scents and textures of the natural world, belief in magic and endless laughter. The recurring jar quietly collects these small treasures, preserving moments to inspire children.
